Very Good (A+)! Circa 1929 Ideal gift for special occassions. No original packaging. In fact, it is like than the time has not passed. No paint loss, no lines, no breaks, no chips, no repairs. Original manufacturing mark. Dorothea Charol (Feb/1889, Odessa - Mar/1963, London) was an Art Deco sculptor, who began her studies at the Richter School of Art (Dresden) with Arthur Lange, then at the universities of Brussels and Munich. She settled around 1910 in this last city, where she was recognized as a designer of figurative porcelain, working for Rosenthal like other factories and later as an artist of abstract works, in porcelain, bronze and ivory. Her long and profuse activity leaves her as one of the most recognized artists of Art Deco and German art, highly valued to this day.
