He is widely considered to be one of the pioneers of pop art. As befitted the year of issue, Paolozzi dedicated the image to the celebrated author of “1984”, George Orwell. This wall hanging porcelain plate was commissioned by Rosenthal as their annual artist plate and issued as a limited edition of 3000 pieces in 1984. The piece offered here is numbered 2280/3000. It is 10 ½ inches across and is ready to hang using its integrated hanger. The original presentation box is included.
