Pair/Antique Bavarian Porcelain Dessert Plates, R.C. IRIS, White Floral, Fuschia Band, Gold Leaf Florentine Details, Rosenthal c 1891-1906 This listing is for two (2) porcelain plates in the Iris blank, decorated with deep fuschia band, white florals with green mossy leaves and gold florentine leaf details around the rim which is nicely scalloped. The plates are stamped with the R.C. Bavaria Mark with the green crown, indicating this is Philipp Rosenthal (Continental), Bavaria which dates to 1891-1906. Also there are some impressed digits on the rear. The Iris Blank has several embossed squiggle lines on the band and a slightly scalloped rim. Size: 7.5" Diameter Condition: Lovely antique condition, displaying a few pin pricks in the fuschia band and some gold loss. One has a slight superficial underside line which cannot be seen from the front, and the other has a superficial spider line. These lines do not radiate through the plates. Perfect for wall or cabinet display, excellent room accents.
