Description

[Photo Album]: Kodaks Title: [Photo Album]: Kodaks Publication: [circa 1915] Description: Softcover. Oblong quarto measuring 12.5" x 9.5". String-tied paper wrappers with an illustrations of a bird on the front wrapper. Contains 24 sepia-toned or black and white gelatin silver photographs measuring between 2.5" x 4.5" and 3" x 5.5" without captions. Very good photo album with rubbing, chips, and tears with near fine photographs with some edgewear. A collection of Kodak photography from a family around 1915 most likely taken using a Vest Pocket Autographic Kodak or the "soldier's camera" which was popularized during World War I. Many of the photos feature women posing in gardens, lounging in hay fields, and wearing the latest fashions. One photo shows three women singing with one playing the accordion; another shows a small boy in a box with bicycles in the background; and another shows the woman plowing a field. A modest but interesting collection of Kodaks with a heavy focus on young women.
