Elevate your Christmas decor with this exquisite table setting Charger plate from Versace Home. Crafted from the fine porcelain at the Rosenthal Studio Germany , in 1996, it features exquisite 22 carat gold details that light up brilliantly with spotlighting. This Baroque design celebrates one of the Three Kings of the Orient, King Balthasar, who traveled afar to bring gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to the Baby Jesus. Measuring 12 inches in length and width, the item offered is an extra large plate or charger that sits beneath the dinner plate at each table setting. The charger is also extremely decorative by itself and may be part of a display or displayed by itself. There are two small holes embedded on the back to support a wire for hanging. This is one of the plates in the four-plate collector's edition, "Christmas with Versace". The other plates are The Angel Gabriel" (1995), "Nativite" (1997) and "Cortege de Noel" (1998). This collection is a limited edition of 15,000. On the underside of the plate is verse written around the edge repeated in German, English, French and Italian languages: "When they saw the star they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh". Also on the underside of the plate is "Christmas 1996", also written in the four languages. Then, " Limited Edition 1996. Christmas with Versace". Then comes the title of the design on the face of the plate, "Le Roi Balthasar" In the center black circle is the seal of the manufacturer, Rosenthal Studio-linie , also the logo of Versace, the head of Medusa. There are 2 charger plates available. They are priced separately. There are not any blemishes, chips, cracks, scratches, marks or mfg defects anywhere. I am the original owner. The plates have been in storage while in my care, occasionally taken out to admire. The original boxes have suffered a lot of moisture damage and are a mess but still usable.
