Description

This is the enchanting Number II Plate/Wall-Plate (of 12 plates) of “ALADIN” from the Rosenthal Collectors’ Program of the Thousand-and-one-Nights.” It was created in the early 1970s of fine porcelain at the Rosenthal factory in Bavaria/Germany. Bjorn Wiinblad, the famous Danish sculptor and designer, tells the story in masterly fashion in twelve scenes. Each plate is painstakingly decorated in brilliant colors on intense cobalt blue. The valuable gold ornamentation provides a spectacular effect of the illustrated scene. The back of the Plate carries the Rosenthal Studio-Line logo and shows Wiinblad’s signature and description of the scene handwritten in Gold. The Plate has a diameter of 6 ½ inches and carries a hook for hanging. It is in excellent condition and comes in its original box.
