Description
Here is a cheese board or trivet of hardwood with inlaid ceramic tiles. It's lovely mid-century practical art serving ware for cutting and presenting meats and cheeses. It can also function as a trivet and has hangers on the back for wall mounting when not in use. The two ceramic tiles of shiny blue on while are crafted with Delft style designs. Each tile has have four funny vignettes of men enjoying their "cups". Condition is very good with no flaws to wood or tiles, zero scratches, no discolorations. The Belgium Delft serving board measures 15 1/2" long, 7 1/4" wide, with 3/4" tall. It weighs 2 lbs 3 oz. There is no visible maker's mark. Concealed from view are the backs of the tiles which are impressed with "H, Made in Belgium". This is the logo mark of the Belgium tile maker: S.A.
