Description

Vintage, wall hanging plate by Bjorn Wiinblad. This is a rare circa 1980 Rosenthal plate. The Danish artist who created it was Bjorn Wiinblad (deceased) who was the man of the year in New York in 1985 and in 1995 was awarded the prize of Culture of the Scandinavian-American Foundation. This work is typical of the now defunct Rosenthal factory of Southern Bavaria with each limited edition plate lovingly painted in brilliant colors in intense cobalt blue with gilt ornamentation. Each stunning plate is artist signed.
