Description

Offering this stunning, tall vintage Rosenthal Studio-Linie porcelain vase from the Samuramat series by renowned Danish born artist Bjorn Wiinblad (1918-2006). Samuramat was an Empress Regent of Assyria between 811 and 808 BC and was one of the first known women to rule an Empire. Height 14-1/4 inches tall Diameter 3-1/4 inches Decorated with exquisite fine gilt floral and avian detail, this stylish porcelain vase has a tall cylindrical shape and is decorated with the Empress surrounded by flowers and birds. Wiinblad's unmistakable style with its romantic, charming and fantastical characteristics is very much evident in this piece, including the Empress's cherub face, pointed nose, and elegant headdress. His signature is within the lower right of the design, and Rosenthal's black printed maker's mark is on the bottom. The vase is offered in excellent vintage condition with very light wear to the bottom consistent with age and use. I pack all of my items with generous bubble wrap, double boxing when needed.
